"Underworld; Rise of the Lycans"
For The Benefit... And No Spoilers either...
They Spoiled it when they started filming.
Underworld; Rise of the Lycans Review.
Well fortunately it only cost me $5 and a Gallon and a Half of Gas. I consider the 2 hours of my life to be well spent surrounded by friends and compadres.
The audio was horrible... I couldn’t under stand most of what they said. Was Muffled and and they all had angry fake European Accents. Miko and I both lost enough Hearing back in Our Active Duty days that we wanted Subtitles so we knew what the fuck they were saying.
The Plot was obvious since it is the Story of Lucian and Sophie’s Love affair that lead to her being Knocked up with a half Lycan baby and Bill Nighy Having her executed for her sins.
There was a 600+ Year plot gap from the logical conclusion of the movie where they could have left it open for a Sequel to the Prequel. I think they knew that any further Underworld films would be straight to DVD... so they decided to Button it up with the final scene which was just old footage from the first 3 minutes of the first underworld movie with Kate Beckinsale jumping off that ridiculously High Gothic Cathedral.
The Ultra cool hip soundtrack was all during the credits, the rest of the movie you really couldn’t hear any identifiable music, which I suppose is good becuase there weren’t many Electro synth bands in the middle ages.
So I give it 2 Stars. Basically wait for it to go into the $5 bin at Wal- Mart in 6 months.
