1st Hunt

Huh, not quite where I expected to end up after all was said and done. No pearly white gates or St. Peter to greet me. Not that I really expected to get to heaven or there really be a St. Peter. I just wanted to be with Mary. ‘Course, just about anywhere is heaven compared to where I just left.

Lot of beliefs and myths about what happens after ( Read more... )

At this point, saying that you're in the City would be a bit redundant, wouldn't it?

Can't promise you this isn't an afterlife, but yeah, it's probably not like anything you were expecting.

Just a bit.

Just so long as it's not where I was I'm going to be somewhat okay with it.

That's pretty unlikely, I haven't yet encountered anyone who expected to be here. Not their first time, anyway.

Where were you, that you're glad not to be anymore?

Their first time?

Hell. Cleavland.

People have been known to come here, leave, and return. The return trip can sometimes be easier.

It's definitely not Cleveland. It's also definitely not what anyone I know would expect of whatever afterlife they believe they're destined for.

It would definitely reduce the "what the hell?" factor the second time.

Well, I didn't know what to expect but it certainly wasn't this.

So long as your memories remain intact, it does. Can be confusing right off, though.

Your religion isn't based around a creepy carousel and an annoying ticking clock?

So if I leave, I might not remember this place?

Seesaw and digital watch, actually.

That's how it worked for me, at any rate. I didn't remember I'd been here until I got back.

Oh, you must have taken a wrong turn. That's the next city over.

This is one weird place.

I don't suppose there's a train leaving for there anytime soon?

You have no idea.

Unfortunately, there's no way out. Although a few of us are working on that problem.

I'd better get one pretty fast then.

If there's a way in there has to be a way out.

The official guide is a good place to start -- anyone linked you yet?

Well, that's part of the problem. We haven't yet figured out how exactly anyone gets in. But yes, it would definitely stand to reason that the door has to swing both ways. It's more a matter of figuring out how to unlock it.

Nope, not yet.

Has anyone even found the door?

I'm John Winchester by the way.

Allow me, then. You'll want to find a roommate or a pet eventually.

Well, there's some belief that it's linked to the clock. I'm working with someone on a way to just make our own door.

Toshiko Sato. It's nice to meet you.

Damn, that's a lot to read through, thank you.

The clock? Nevermind, I'm sure it's in the guidebook.

Nice to meet you, Toshiko.
