... says a lot about a person. I picked up:
- The Bloody Chamber - Angela Carter. Multiply recommended whenever I mention my erotic fairytales series (which yes I am not doing very quickly, MY MUSE HAS MPD)
- Economics - the Basics. Don't know enough about it, will damn well learn. Hopefully will be able to understand current news stories and current affairs discussions with friends on a deeper level. Possibly also will be able to write about with conviction.
- The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes - some fairy obsessive. It is cosy reading of old England, what?
- Life at the Limits - David A. Wharton. I do love my extremophiles.
- The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress - Robert Heinlein. What is that on the horizon? A seminal sci-fi book I have not even tried to read?
- Stitch N Bitch - I have a desire for chunky wrist and leg warmers in non-lurid colours. And i can knit, but not purl. A gap in my education I think.
- The Secret Life of Houdini -the making of the world's greatest mystifier. Kalush and Sloman. Interesting man, I have heard?
- Preacher #4 - Ancient History. Man, Preacher is so so good! Blasphemous, gun-toting, all-American explosions and sex! And severely fucked up families, oh my god. My only objection is, really, Tulip.
So as well as that lot I'm working 10 hours in the next two days (a lot for a typist, believe it or not) and going white water rafting on monday.
Thought: if I put up a poll for what my project for the week should be (a subject to write about, something to draw or cartoon, something to craft) would people have opinions? Or am I just a solipsist in need of some self-determination?
