race recap
here is a recap of the region race. The anonymous poster wanted it.
Region:
Urbanksi tells us to be aggressive and go out with Buena. So we figure that Urbanski knows what he is saying. The gun goes off and we are behind Buena's pack. At about the 800 mark, Steve is leading (I think), Jackson is in good position, John and I are with each other, and I don't know what is happening behind us. Some Buena guy appears out of nowhere. John goes with him while I try to keep up. Joel then Brady move up. We get into a wash and things go bad. I see Brady slowing down and I see John by himself. Joel has moved up to third on the team. I get through the wash and I surge. I pass a few people and some keep right on my tail. We get to the 2.8 (a guess) mile mark and I see Jackson finish. I am running with some Tucson High guy who passes me with about 400 to go. I sprint the next 250 and end up passing him and another guy. After crossing the finish line, I see Jackson talking to Joel and I see Ryan starting to sprint. Then... Urbanski formulates the scores and tells us that we got 3rd. During the awards, Buena decides that they want to be even gayer. So, they make a tunnel (like 5-year old soccer games) for their region winning team. They all go up on the bleachers and do some sort of gay dance.
Girls region:
They win. Tara wins. That's basiccally it. Girls get trophy. Then, Jackson and I pour water on Kelsey. Nadia is just off to the side shivering because she got really wet (she just didn't though).
