So I knew it all along...
For a while know I've known that not having a definite plan for my life (read: career) at this point is perfectly acceptable. However, I've felt the need to convince others of this. I've appended every description of current goings on with a phrase like "...but that's OK, because I'm only 22 and I have plenty of time to figure it out" or "...until I can find a way to make money using my degree." I will do my best now to simply be content with telling people my current position and letting them take it from there.

My friend, David, lives a life of no regrets. I don't take this to mean that one never second-guess an idea, but over time nothing can be done to change the past, no matter how hard one tries. Therefore it is best to recognize anything as a positive experience. One can always learn from a situation, as well as develop benchmarks for other experiences, past and present. I will strive to do the same in the coming year(s).

I am preparing to return to Woodruff Scout Reservation for my second Summer as a counselor. I will be on the Shotgun range again, this time much better prepared for the challenges of coaching, instructing and teaching. I've found teaching to be an activity that holds promise of becoming at least part of what I may do in the next part of my life. The value of a person's reaction to comprehending something new (the 'click') is totally immeasurable in traditional quantitative terms. Qualitatively, it is perhaps the best feeling I have yet (and may ever) experienced. This is my life: Boy Scout camp counselor. It will be my life until the fall, when I'm to begin something which will hopefully allow me to contribute my skills and talents more fully to those in need. I'm certainly no Newton or Ghandi, but there is value in that which I possess, the greatest being the ability to share this with others.

I hope to continue my paper journal and LJ more frequently. I enjoy recording my thoughts for my own perusal at a later date. I need to make the most of my life, and this includes people. All of you. Every single one. I Love You.
