Because Holly wanted to watch it, and she said it was funny.

I guess it would've been scarier if I'd watched alone. But I wouldn't have watched it alone.

I just realized that ghosts are kind of always in haunted houses, aren't they? 'cause that's what makes them haunted.

Yeah, that's why it's scary.
