so today has been the most disappointing day i can remember in this post september 11th world. and it's the first day of my period. things are so awesome i kinda wish i had drowned in that bubble bath i just took.

the defeated optimist within me has this to say

i am thankful that i am not..

gay
muslim
pregnant with a child i am unprepared to give birth to
unemployed
non white
without health insurance
a member of the us armed forces
or
a salmon

for now i will bite my lip and wait to see just how much can change with the passing of 4 more years
