So, right before we went on vacation I ordered a new pair of glasses from Pearle Vision in Gurnee. It was my first time there. I spent quite a lot of time looking for just the right pair finally found them, paid for them and left. I wanted them before we went on vacation but the technician said they might not get them done but they would try and call me when they were ready. Not great but ok. So I have been waiting for the phone call to say that they were ready please pick up your order. It has been over a week so I just chalked that up to bad customer service.
Well last night I stopped by to pick up my glasses. There was a note on the door stating that they were closed and going to evicted from the premises on Friday. WTF? I have already paid for the glasses. No wonder no one called me they went out of business a week after I was there.
I looked around on the internet and there were some other people in the same boat.
Luckily I had paid for them with my credit card so my credit card reversed the charges and I won't be on the hook for anything.
Has something like this happened to any of you?
