Petty Eccentricity is no more
After 13.5 years, I finally called WPRK and told them my show was over.
I have not been out to clubs for a long time and the show had lost context - there was always a tie between hearing the music at the clubs and playing music on my show. Another effect of dropping out of the club scene was that I stopped keeping up with and buying new music. As a result Petty Eccentricity had been largely static for probably the last year or so.
On the brighter side, a week into no-more-radio-show-land, I do not miss it so I expect I made the right call.
