Got the last item out of the old apartment today (leaving cleaning supplies for future cleaning-fu does not count as stuff). Odd in a way that place spans a major portion of my life that is coming to a close almost perfectly. I moved in there a few months after I started working at KSC - this was (still is) my first real job (everything else was temp work or internships). In a sense it was my first real time in financial independence - I finally didn't have to worry about making ends meet.
The new place, too, marks a new stage in life. In a sense it is giving up independence as the new apartment is where Elisabeth and I will start living together. We've known each other three years, been dating for two and I can't fathom not having her in my life. Its a good thing and I'm definitely looking forward to this next stage.
