my squiddles shirt finally arrived! In my dream, I am the Rose. It is me.
it fits nicely! and this is a more effective way of showing off my MSPA nerdery than the Terezi "Libra" shirt I made which gets more questions/comments like, "oh, I'm a Libra too!!" and then I have to pretend to also be a Libra just so I don't have to explain.
it is so hard being me.
TopatoCo is pretty awesome, actually! their "additional comments" field in my order had a blurb like, "questions, comments, jokes go here," and so I did leave a joke and I got this back with my shirt.
considering they service all my favourite webcomics, I'll need to order from them again sometime in the future...
nothing much else today. I picked up all the current issues of the First Wave Spirit/Batman/Doc Savage series because I forgot it existed. too focused on the Spirit First Wave, I guess. I have a lot of stuff to read. ;;
drew butts and skulls boobs today in the style of Chuck Close who did a series of portraits using a fingerprint stipple-like technique.
(this is the closest I will get to touching boobs with my fingers.)
worked with black oils. tough, because once you make a mark, you can't make it any lighter! there are definitely some slip ups, but overall it's kind of a cool effect.
