(no subject)
so i lied about switching host families last weekend, but only because I was lied to first. oh well. now i REALLY do only have one week left! yay!!
i started last saturday with a naked women and ended in the same way.
i had to wake up at 7 to go to my school, because my art teacher decided we were going to try our hands at drawing real live people. naked. Soooooo would never have gotten away with that in the states. the administration would have been on and on about the unethicalness of it all. ha. the differences in culture. anyways i had to stay there until about 2. but it turned out a lot better than i thought it would be.
we went bowling on saturday night. that is to say i ad the other exchange students in the area. nathan, peter, pedro, gil, and nick falor showed up at a later point in the evening unfortunatly.
our waitress was a total bitch. so nathan and i decided we would steal the bowling shoes. now i have a pair of bowling shoes. there was also a confederate flag with an indian on it,(i shit you not ladies and gentelmen. there was fucking confederate flag.) hung up in the "western saloon" that i really wanted. but it was entirly to conspicuous to grab. after that we wandered around ludwigshafen for like an hour trying to find a drink shop that was open. fucking germany. we finally find one the next city, which i might also add is the next state over(thats how crammed togethor this country is.), in the mannheim hauptbahnhof. we end up in the irish pub listening to shitty covers from a live band. they kick us out because peter is eating french fries. we stand outside and listen to the shitty band at which point we meet a couple of army guys who are going to a strip bar with a couple of german chics. of course we end up going with. it is at this point i realize i need to get some girl friends in this country. However i did end up feeling extremely self assured in my appearence. those were some pretty discusting women.
all in all an interesting day.
