1st day of classes

Aug 25, 2005 00:08

today UTK started classes and I started my collegiate academic career with Bowling.

Bowling- to get an A i need to avg. a 135 for the half semester, and show up...no prob

Math- have math 125 applied calculus with Carly and Katy Cass, took 4 pages of notes but nice old lady with supposed easy grading and setup

English- the teacher was about 28 and clearly needs to read the 60$ Hodge's Harbrace Handbook she said we didn't need and "we only require that because the family that wrote that book is a big monetary supporter" because she had at least 5 nasty typo's on her syllabus and first handouts. From what I gathered, my class is a bunch of idiots. We read this book about an Autistic kid for summer reading which was really a good read (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time") and this moron was like, "I only read 30 pages...i was like, this guy is retarded, and then I found out that he was."
Way to mislabel on top of not knowing that the author is not autistic and see what a good piece of writing it was. This is something that is going to kill me here. Ignorance.

Overall a good first day and I'm glad that classes are finally starting.
