SNL still sucks...
I stayed up late to watch Saturday Night Live, which in my opinion is only funny when Amy Poehler and Maya Rudolph are in a sketch together. OK, Andy Samberg's short films are funny too.
To my delight, Foo Fighters were the musical guests!
To my disappointment, Jon Bon Jovi was the host, so we got to hear 2 Bon Jovi songs, see Jon in nearly every sketch, and only got to hear the Foos once.
Of course, Foo Fighters were awesome. They played Pretender, the first single from Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace. There was a woman accompanying them on cello, and Pat Smear was there bouncing around and barely touching his bass guitar. Smear looked pretty bulky - has he been working out, or is he just...thicker?
Anyway, Taylor looked gorgeous, but was not given enough closeups. Grohl was...well, come on! Do you really think I'm going to say he was anything other than awesome???
At least Taylor & Grohl made an appearance in the Andy Samberg short, but otherwise I have to say the Bon Jovi to Foo ration was much too high for my liking.
