So we arrived in Vancouver 2 days ago, and holy crap, who told the weather to be a goddamn bitch? If I wanted humidity so high that sweat rolls down my back, I'll go to Thailand kthx! Serious heatwave right now. Low 30s for about a week forecasted - which actually doesn't sound so bad, it's just the humidity that kills you. Okay, so I can handle the heat during the day (c'mon, I'm Australian - we live for 30+ weather), but the lack of breeze or any cooling off is a killer to sleep in at night.
Europe was OMGAMAZING but I'm glad to get off the Euro - god, it's killer for an Aussie traveller. Though if there was any one city I would recommend visiting, it would be Berlin. That place has so much history vomiting all over the place, it's intense. Walking downt the street and seeing bullet holes in buildings from the war is just... wow. The city itself has so much personality - doesn't matter what you're into, you'd be able to find it there.
Aaron and I also pulled an all-nighter last Saturday night. Watched the sun come up along on of the canals, which was beautiful and got back to the hotel around 6:30am. Didn't exactly plan the sleep recovery very well (curse you trashy MTV reality shows!), and plodded through the 10 hours of travel and 3 train connections back to London on Monday. We stayed with some family friends that night out near Heathrow, which was actually a really pretty part of London. They live right near the Thames, which is just inundated with swans right now. The next day we were on a plane to Vancouver - talk about rushed haha
Since getting here though, I haven't been feeling very well... (like duh hehe Exhaustion ftw!) although we've already planned to stay an extra month. Hooray!
