Another Friday, another 2 pints down at the pub. I love Fridays.
And I'm really looking forward to this weekend, wherein I drive to the Hunter and get really, really smashed with work friends. Brokenwood FTW! I've also been informed that there's an "End of Financial Year" sale going on for Staff and Shareholders - so, if anyone wants really cheap Brokenwood wine, let me know, and I can buy stuff by the case for 50% (or more) off! I got sent an order form today... SQUEE!
In other news, it looks like we'll have our first Release Candidate at the end of next week. They're still pushing for a release date in mid-May - but how realistic that is, is anyone's guess. The guess is more often "like hell they will" than not, though. We've also had a new guy start at work - Bayani. He seems okay enough, but he does have that nasty habit of putting people down to make himself feel better. Particularly when it comes to intellect. Not to say he isn't a smart guy, but gees. You're not meant to make your co-workers feel uncomfortable.
Joanie (my partner in crime when it came to this project) is actually leaving to travel around Australia and then finally return home to Ireland come the end of May, so she shall be missed. Though I now have a contact in Ireland should I ever visit there. :D
Right now I'm doing R&D monkey-work. Mind-numbing stuff really. Most of it guarded strictly by IP agreements. I can tell you though, it's fucked HAHA
Man, I should probably not get so tipsy at lunch... tee hee.
In any case, a good dose of UT is in order this afternoon. WHEEEE!!
