Correct me if I'm wrong

But is the pill not supposed to help PMS? I thought it would lessen it. Not make my life worse. Argh...

The week thus far has been a confusing and frustrating one. I just want spring break. Or some clarity in my life. Clarity would be good.

If it's not helping you might wanna switch brands. I take Yasmine and it works decently.

Miss you

Actually, although the pill prevents a fluctuation in hormones that occurs during PMS, it creates a PMS-like state all month long, and so many women experience depression while on birth control.

And also, all brands do this -- switching won't really do anything. This is also why women gain weight...they have PMS cravings all month long.

I disagree....

My friend has tried most forms of birth control, and she's had a wide variety of experiences with PMS symptoms. Some pills treated her much better than others, so I do suggest trying another brand and seeing what is best for you. On one of them, she was crazy depressed, but it went away when she switched.

I know you wrote this awhile ago, but I just got around reading it since I took the day off from life.

Actually --- I had terrible, terrible PMS symptoms when I was younger. They were awful, I couldn't function.. I started taking Levora during college and I hardly have the issues I used to have. So yes, certain birth control pills can lessen symptoms by a lot. I even have much shorter periods.

Anyway, I'm sure you've already figured something out by now. Hope things are going good for you!
