list...number two!

back with another top ten list. because it is needed. i saw a lot of FUCKED up movies recently. so i shall name them. so anyone who reads this can have his/her mind blown away.

1.) the village. i still haven't formulated an opinion on this quite yet. it was clever as hell, and disappointing...AND amazing all at once. hard to swallow. supposedly a metaphor for how our government treats terrorism.
2.) donnie darko. one of those movies that will just trip you out and leave you hanging so bad. my favorite.
3.) the shape of things. not well-known, and came out recently too. had rachel weisz and paul rudd (i love him, loved him since clueless) in it. it's a plot about these kids in college, and it's just crazy. so worth-renting.
4.) fight club. everyone should know that by now. genius.
5.) SOUNDS corny..BUT had to add this. no laughing matter. this is totally business. the wizard of oz alongside pink floyd's dark side of the moon. if you do this right, it will bug you out hardcore.
6.) battle royale 2. i haven't even seen the first one, but alex says its better. but this movie, a japanese flick in all subtitles...it's just crazy madness.
7.) seven. the fact that kevin spacey plays the killer AND turns himself in...he's a brilliant actor. probably my favorite alongside the boys of fight club, brad pitt and edward norton. oh yeah, brad pitt was in this too. the ending...man. makes your world spin.
8.) american history x. really REALLY makes you think...about close-mindedness. i love edward norton to the extreme, if you couldn't tell by the previous number.
9.) run lola run. another subtitle movie. this one's in german. it's so crazy, definitely a movie on speed, and it has all these different scenarios that come from a decision she (meaning lola) makes differently in one given day. each of them has a different ending. so so weird...and that's why i like it.
10.) the crush. i'm watching it now. alicia silverstone pulls off the psychotic teenager thing so well. oh and cary elwes is in it. another one of my favorite actors (princess bride...so splendid). it 'tis smashing.

***not listed, EVERY quentin tarantino movie. but that would've consumed almost the entire list. pulp fiction, true romance, resevoir dogs, kill bill, all of them. amazing. the most fucked up out of those is the plot to kill bill...because it was part uma thurman and part tarantino in the thinking process. they work well together, just like peanut butter an jelly, man.
