[Location: New Scape] [I’m new in town, can I have directions to your apartment?]
This was sure as hell not where he’d been ten minutes ago. The buildings were different (and none of them matched) and there was snow- snow- on the ground. Where the hell did it snow in California?
Needless to say, he wasn’t exactly thrilled at the prospect of wandering around in it without any kind of coat, but that was really all there was to do at that point. So that’s what he did, not enjoying it in the slightest.
“Ooookay. That’s really weird.”
He was pretty certain that he hadn’t seen this place before- in fact he was more that “pretty certain.” He’d never been here before in his life. He would have remembered the strange city planning and the architecture being…that…odd?
“…you have got to be kidding.”
Right there. It was sitting right goddamn there in a city it had never been in before.
“Great. Wonderful. Hilarious guys.” The closer he got to it, though, the more he started to fear that it wasn’t a prank at all. He really was in a weird city he’d never seen before, really looking at his transplanted house sitting on top of a hill way too far to have to walk in the snow without a coat. He was already freezing as it was (and his pants were getting soaked), so he made a note to find something more weather appropriate once he figured out what the hell was going on and, grumbling only slightly, he started back up the hill towards the house.
Maybe if he kept moving he’d be warmer.
