(no subject)
the last time i wrote in this journal was in october, but i still read all of my friend's posts now and then. i guess the reason i came to post now is because yesterday at breakfast, jess horrocks and esther and i were discussing how funny it was that around this time of the year everybody becomes reflective and starts to think about what they achieved in the year just passed and what they hope to achieve next year. we talked about what we'd all be doing in another ten years, whether we're all married, or living in another country, or running businesses or being movie stars and decided that no matter where in the world we were at a specific time that we would all meet up again to reunite and it would be a riot!
anyway, i am no exception to wanting to reflect on the last twelve months!;
1) Drinking buddie of the year?
polka dot com, ben and george
2) Lifetime service award- Longest friend(s)?
esther & george (also school friends though i rarely see them)
3) Newcomer award- Newest friend?
umm... krystal i guess? and bec
3) High point of the year?
institut polaire supporting jens lekman and him telling me i played good tambourine, realising that benjamin blakeney liked me, seeing a million amazing bands i never thought i would get to see (broken social scene, pgmg, jason molina, the shins, jens lekman, lsf + many, many more)
4) Low point of the year?
finding out that i'm not too healthy, i guess! but that's nothing
5) Best holiday?
the one at the very beginning of the year where i went down south to stay in a five star hotel with each of my favourite ladies to see the shins at southbound. also, i shared a bed with apple, it was hot. BEARRRR! also, most recent melbourne lover's holiday
6) Anthem for 2006?
shit.. i dunno. i guess something like farewell transmission by songs: ohia because it marks a lot of significant events for me this year
7) Any regrets?
not at all. every single decision i have made this year has been for the best for me. it's a lot better than i can say for last year!
8) Best night out?
probably one of erik & moniques parties that have resulted in all night amplifier action afterwards. otherwise northbridge night for esther's birthday was pretty funny, rtr radiothon closing party was also a good one... but i think the one that takes the cake was the one in melbourne recently when ben and i ate at an expensive restaurant, got extremely intoxicated and then went across to the casino, continued to drink and proceeded to bet all of our remaining monies on the pokies. good times!

a few nights at the very beginning of the year that sucked. nothing majior.
10) Who did you spend Valentines with?
nobody! i was dating craig at the time but he wanted to hang out with his friends that night.
11) Best Relationship?
ben. and then esther, always.

southbound w/ the shins!

to join the band.

to see what is in store for ip and at the same time get a move on with my own music and start my own little project!

shit, there must be a few. i think to send the ex boyf abusive text messages is probably a really stupid idea
