This morning I set my alarm early and had Kris call me as a back-up and I still managed to miss garbage day. It seems that every Thursday I end up being that one person on the block standing in their driveway with slippers and robe, holding a bag of garbage while watching the truck turn the corner at the end of the street. I have yet to come up with a crafty solution to this problem that doesn't involve me sleeping on the curb in a tent filled with garbage.

After this lovely start to the day I went to politics class and was immediatly cheered by Prof. Dubeski's out-there comments. Today he told us that he reads the "personal" ads and described a prostitute as "Busty Dusty." Then he told us how his university history professor was constantly on his case to sleep with a prostitute from Bulgaria?? Someone said they wanted to do their term paper on the legalization of marijuana and the Prof suggested he talk to so-and-so from the Anthropology department. Another person said they were interested in writing about euthanasia and he actually responded with "I take it you're not talking about kids taking a trip to China?" The guy was just on the ball today.... perhaps it isn't as funny when I type it out, but I haven't laughed that hard in class since George Mashinter thanked me for bringing his attention to "Brenda."

Next class was rural and our Prof. is in Puerto Rica at some conference so we had an agricultural economist doing a guest lecture. Kind of interesting stuff as he walked us through the feasability of the 100km diet and then showed us pictures of some giant tomatoes he grew. He talked about other things, but these are just some examples that stick out in my mind. After every single rural class I promise myself that I'm going to go to the Farmer's Market on Saturday...yet somehow never make it.

Then came anthropology. I am not a fan.

After class I went to Shopper's and tried to talk to the pharmacist about my seven day leg cramp and the possibility of it actually falling off, but he was more interested in cutting me off and getting rid of me. I used to have a crush on the pharmacist at the Midland Shoppers...

I worked a bit on my qualitative project that is due on Monday and then watched the OC and ER. Nothing great to report on that.

I'm not feeling so happy today. I've been thinking a lot about a lot (if that makes sense). I'm thinking about Brandon and his family and how they're coping and how it's so unfair that bad things happen to good people. I've been thinking about the war in Iraq. Is that weird? I don't know....

Rick Mercer is coming to my school this weekend.
