So, Lexi and Anne both quit War last week. I understand why they both did it, but I already miss their characters a lot. And right now? Right now I'm debating whether I want to drop one of my characters who I really love because literally, people in game jump all over him no matter what he says or does. It's like Kirk became the designated punching bag in game and I'm getting kind of sick of it. In a conversation she wasn't even a part of, Caroline from TVD jumped all over Kirk because he said the Roadhouse was the safest bar in Lawrence if you didn't want to be around vampires. That was all he said, and she's turning it into him hating vampires. The guy he was talking to was brand new to Lawrence, and when Kirk said to filter the post because of evil stuff he just assumed this guy (like many others who show up from places where there's already a bunch of evil stuff) probably had negative experiences with vampires and werewolves. And now other people are jumping in (though Lydia from TLBD is being nicer about it). You know, I enjoy what's going on between Khan and Kirk, I do. I think it's interesting and I wouldn't mind continuing to do it. But it's getting to the point that I don't want to have Kirk involved in anything in game because everyone jumps on him regardless of what he says. It's not fun to play Kirk anymore, and I hate that, I really do.
ETA: Well, this particular skirmish ended better than the last one, and for that I am thankful. But yeah. It's really not as much fun to play him anymore, so I emailed Viki and said I'd keep him around for whatever Khan wants to do but then I'm probably going to drop him. We'll see what happens.
