Ha! I made at least one post on one journal today! Go me.
Just a friendly reminder that
I am still taking Christmas present requests. I wrote one of them but haven't posted it to my fic community yet (it's short, so I'm waiting to see if the other one I plan on writing is about the same length and I'll post them together). I have six spaces left, so feel free to ask for something.
I spent yesterday writing yet another explicit fic, this time for one of my series, and it actually had 300 hits on AO3 within twenty-four hours, plus nine kudos. So I'm slowly starting to stop second guessing myself when it comes to explicit stuff. But on that note, I have a Secret Santa fic I need beta'd, if someone would be so kind. It's Sherlock/Molly post-Reichenbach, and yes, it is explicit. If anyone is interested leave a comment. I need it done ASAP, though, because it's due the 16th. Mostly I'm looking for content and a Brit pick.
Also, I am completely caught up on Castle and I quite enjoyed the last two episodes. I think this show is superb, and one of these days I'll go back over the last two seasons I missed. That leaves Elementary and Doctor Who to finish catching up on (I need to watch "A Town Called Mercy" and "The Angels Take Manhattan" for Who and, like, almost every aired episode past the pilot for Elementary), though I won't watch the Ponds last episode until I have the Christmas special downloaded. I don't want to mourn the Ponds without having the new companion there to cheer me up. ::nods:: I've pretty much given up on Criminal Minds, though. The dynamic is too different. I may watch episodes with Reid's girlfriend because (a) I love the actress (PARKER!!!) and (b) the character intrigues me. But the rest of the time I'm all "If I miss it, that's okay, I can catch it later." It's not priority viewing anymore, and that saddens me.
I am also slowly rewatching all of classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with my son. We watched the first episode of season 2 today and I'm remembering why I was so hooked on this show when I was a kid. Trace's favorite is Michelangelo and he swore that he has my favorite too but I was all "Nope, it's Raphael because he's a grouch." It's really fun sharing childhood favorites with my son. When it's him, me and my mom we watch The Thirteen Ghosts of Scooby Doo and eventually I'll track down A Pup Named Scooby Doo because he really wants to watch that one with me. I hope he doesn't get bored with the cartoons any time soon. It's a lot of fun sharing these times with him.
And that's about it. I'm off my psych meds at the moment so I have to force myself to get some sleep, and I'm going to finish my dinner and attempt to sleep around ten tonight. Talk to you guys later!
