A Day About Nothing

I was supposed to go to the swing dancing workshop today, but due to my spazistic nature I hurt my left foot last night and was pretty incapable of dancing at all today. So Maggie and I hung out and did nothing, which I must say felt extremely productive. We chilled, talked, watched VH1 for about 4 hours. We did go to Target, CVS, and Blockbuster later on, so I guess that counts as something. But all in all it was a pretty lazy day. Tonight we hung out at Nathan's and watched Stand By Me, which is an awesome movie that will jazz you up good. It got me thinking back to when I was that age, about 11 or 12 and some of the stupid kid stuff we did. It made me remember the pink ladies days, talking to guys on the internet at sleep overs, holding seances, building forts out of sheets in my living room, dancing to spice girls songs, how my heart crumbled when Brett kissed Ashley on the back of the bus and how happy I was when he gave me his tickets at the skating rink, and singing "My Heart Will Go On" God knows how many times. How the times have changed. It's hard to really grasp that 7 years have gone by since that time period. And that bracelet still sits in a jewelry box on my desk in Tampa.
