HOKAY...So saturday night may have been the greatest night of my life, no exageration. so as many of you know, or if i havent told you, it was the night that i got to go see the greatest fucking band ever, yes EVER, and i dont care what you think they are the best... EVER. it was such an amazing experience, i have been to no other concert like it. just to start out, before the show i saw
Ken Casey,
Scruffy Wallace,
Tim Brennan,
Steph Dohorty,
James Lynch, and my fucking hero
MARK ORELL! he friggain just started talkin to me before the show, i was amazed. but seriously, you should see this guy play, amazing, he goes absolutely nuts!
go here and
here and
here too (that last one is awesome) to see it. but anyways got front row with matt, his girlfriend, and darci. show started and we were right next to the speakers, it is monday night and i still cant hear out of my left ear. so the show goes on, darci and matts girl get to go onstage during the spicy mchaggis jig. i was jealous. but little did i know i would have my turn! dropkicks end the set, and the crowd starts up a huge chant of "LETS GO MURPHYS!" so they come out and play four more songs! and that first song they started pullin people up on stage, so me and matt were two of the first. on stage we are fuckin moshing and singing, so i start singing skinhead with two other kids into one of the mics. it was amazing! then i look up and see orell standing on top of one of the speakers playin, hes nuts. he jumps down and hits me, and keeps playing, it was amazing. so the show ends and i get to shake
matt kellys hand. i steal one of the setlists (the list of songs the keep that they are gonna play) and wate for them after the show. i got all of them to sign it except mark (damnit!) and matt. but o well, still the best night of my life. i must say scruffy and al are two of the nicest guys i have ever met. so we finally leave, and are talking outside while matt has a smoke, and
Al Barr comes out and just says "hey guys thanks for coming, i hope you guys liked the show" most down to earth guy ever. so that was my night, and it was long, but damn, i will never forget it
oh and one last thing, i just got my first college acceptance today. it was to the University of Vermont, wich has a really good pre-med program so im excited
