WHERE'S MY VECTRIX ????

Ok-- how long am I going to have to wait?? Seems like it'll be this year!

..I've been following this company Vectrix, for almost 5 years now... it was a rumour a few years back-- that some guys managed to get Lockheed to swap technologies for favors and they were going to build the KILLER electric scooter. Seems like they have. and I am getting tired of waiting!! Here's the drill-- they made a bike that has both a fuel cell and batteries. The batteries drive the vehicle and the fuel cell sits there till the batteries are empty then refills them. Pretty ingenious.

Actually the really impressive part is the performance. I have driven over 2,000Km in electric scooters. Mostly off-the-shelf technologies and they can perform fairly well (60KmH) as long as you don't have to go uphill =( but this baby is as i said, a killer. 100KmH, 0-60(Mi) in 6.8 seconds, and a charge that will take you 100Mi before needing more juice (my previous electric would give me around 40). And I don't know if I've said it before, but these bikes are HOTT!

Now, for a while it looked like they had some stiff competition from a Washington-based company called Esarati who made these scrumptious bikes:

they were also made (at least in part) by a huge military industrial co. (McDonalds/Douglas), but something happened... what i heard was that they ended up with a few thousand of these stuck in a port-- they forgot to certify them for US roads.... got busted! Ever since then, there hasn't been so much as a peep from the competition. which is great news for this guy: our Man of the hour

CEO, Andy MacGowan. He's been nimble and quick, and able to adapt his technology... sure it's taken 5 years, but if you saw what i saw 5 years ago (some drawings... nice ideas.... lots of paper... no actual real anything) you too would know that this has been snowballing and increasing speed, and now its just about to come down the pipe! I can't wait! I WANT ONE!!!

!!, i want one!!!, evs, ceos
