Ok, so the Coloradoan.com has a neat story about Green Logic, a new Green store opening up in Fort Collins Colo. Of course they are happy to announce the some of the huge LOHAS (lifestyle of health and sustainability) numbers ($45Bn annually for organic and natural food). But what really caught my eye was this:
Chuck Blumenthal is president of Chicago-based Bean Products, a leading manufacturer of eco-friendly products, and he thinks green stores are here to stay. "At least one green store opens up in the country everyday, and I get inquires about perspective stores daily," said Blumenthal. "There's a backlash against corporate America. People are fed up and feel powerless against the government, and starting these stores brings some power back to the consumers," said Blumenthal.
