Meh, late June update.
So let's see, what's new in the world of Abby? Played our first out of state gig last weekend. It was this shithole little bar in rural North Carolina, but the audience of like 40 with probably 5 teeth collectively seemed to really like us. We are definately wanted back, so that's good. However, that may have been our last show with our bassist. I will not talk badly about him here, but it may be time for an older and more mature band to form. We have two interested parties right now that we may be jamming with in the next couple of weeks for the positions of bassist and second guitarist, and as of right now, I will not name names since nothing is certain. Let's just say that if this works out, expect a force to be reckoned with.
I'm down almost 10 pounds. Woohoo! Still not skinny enough to comfortably go out on stage scantily clad, but soon. I didn't keep my thigh high lace up boots for nothing. Oh oh, got a new tattoo. It's the SIN logo from NIN. Everyone thinks it says "5N". Oh well. To me it is a representation of my recognition of inherint sin and that which I cannot avoid. I love it. Many more to come. My dad teases me about it. Everything I tell him, he goes, "well, that's about what I'd expect from a sinner." But in that loving goofy my dad kind of way.
Big all day metal fest in Fredericksburg tomorrow and a possible radio interview Sunday for our upcoming Bike Fest charity show. Roadie Wade is filling in on bass for the day, since Shane is enjoying the drunken fratboy/hillbillyness that is Beach Week. *grumble grumble*
