It takes snow like this to remind me why I freaking hate it with all the passion. It took me 20 minutes to travel 2 miles to work yesterday, the landlord did not plow our parking lot so every car that parked was knee high in snow and of course they got stuck. So, after a few hours we closed... typical Buffalo snow day- everything shuts down because of this blasted snow, then let's not fail to mention that it is 10 degrees Fahrenheit.
So, I shoveled my entire driveway and sidewalks by hand since my ATV is at Cooper's house. That took 30 minutes and while I was doing it I was enjoying the exercise, but now I wake up and there some soreness in my back- great. I just have no motivation in this shit, I wake up freezing and it takes an hour to get out of bed. Can not work out, can't run, and I am lethargic. Now I know why so many WNYers are overweight! It's the weather + all those damn Buffalo wings!
Not to mention my poor, poor cat. She must think it's the end of the world when it gets this cold. She has nowhere to go but under covers or in her heated bed!
I have work today, grrr. I hope we are busy because I need to make up for yesterday! I at least did 4 piercings, 4 in a short a mount of time... but man, bills don't wait for the snow to clear!
Also, anyone ever been to the Columbus (Ohio) Zoo? Abby and I want to go in the spring. I heard it's awesome and I am a fan of Jack Hannah, so it will be cool to go to his zoo! So far pretty much every zoo we went to has been a let down. Toronto was alright, Pittsburgh sucked balls, Cleveland was okay, maybe the best which isn't saying a lot, Buffalo blows ass, Columbia (South Carolina) was okay, I guess... but the civil war relics around the zoo were far more interesting. If anyone has not been to Columbia, SC I recommend it. I grew up in that area and Columbia was a run down town. Now it's modern, rebuilt, the zoo is ok, there's
civil war stuff (building remnants, a blown up foot bridge, trails, etc), an awesome trail down the side of the
Congaree River. There's also an authentic Mexican Restaurant there, forget the name, but damn... authentic from how hot it is inside that joint all the way to the waiters not knowing much English at all! There's also the awesome
architecture and gorgeous
plantation houses. Awesome place.
