The Necrolyzation process. Makes Deadmen. Takes a body, an' brings it back t'life - well, not th' same kinda life as before. The brain's juices an' electricity start workin' again, an' all th' organs start pumpin', but th' blood can't stay fresh, can't make new blood on 's own. So, every now an' then, a Deadman has gotta have all his blood replaced with new, fresh stuff.

Ah never went through it. Fer me it was bein' alive, dyin', becomin' a ghost, an' when ah came here, gettin' a body again somehow.

Damn straight. Which means if y'screw it up, ah don't have t'do anythin', cuz she can give ya a boot all on her own.

That sounds like Inferi. I wasn't aware the practice of bringing corpses to...a semblance of life was common among the worlds.
