[Video] Sometime During the 19th
[The video appears showing a cloud of smoke on screen and somebody chuckles menacingly before stepping forward. The figure is back lit so his features are obscured though two details are visible, the high collar of his cape and the abnormally sized head.]
Greetings, Chicaygo, allow me to introduce myself: I am Megamind, Dark Master of Villainy and conqueror of Metrocity and I have come here to take your city for my own! But... before that, I have decided to give you all an opportunity to prove yourselves as worthy opponents. A simple matter really. You will come to Northerly Island to face me and should you survive you will have proven yourselves worthy to stand in my presence as my foes!
Oh, but you may be asking what reason you have to play along. Why would anybody willingly walk into an obvious trap set up by a mad and unbelievably handsome evil genius? Well, allow me to... convince you.
[Another chuckle and with a flourish of his cape he strides off screen] I'm sure by now you've-- ahem. Over here, follow me! [his hand reappears in the frame, motioning for whoever is holding the camera to follow along. Something jumps, beeps and the camera swings to bring him back into frame.] As I was saying....
I'm sure by now you've all realized that one of your own has vanished, poof, gone, without a trace. Well, I can assure you that she's quite safe but whether she remains that way is entirely up to you! The choice is yours, Chicaygo, play my game or this [He raises his arm, obscuring a view behind him with his cape] will be the last any of you ever see of... Jennifer Walters! [And he drops the cape, revealing the woman tied to a chair, gagged and blindfolded but obviously alive. The camera lingers on her for a moment as Megamind laughs just off screen before stepping into it again.]
The choice is yours, Chicaygo! I will be waiting for you at the fieldhouse on Northerly Island at this time tomorrow, do not disappoint me! I do so... hate... disappointments! MUAHAHAHAHAHA--OW!! [The evil laugh is tragically cut short as the camera shoots forward suddenly, slamming into his forehead sending it tilting and whirling all over as pandemonium breaks out, Megamind's voice shouting over a frantic series of beeps and whistles.]
A slow zoom-in, I said a slow zoom-in! Argh! Honestly! ... What? No, we can't try it again! Just shut it off! Shut it off!
[And the video flickers off.]
