Hi my name is Liz and I'm going to write about the most amazing weekand a half I had...
So last Thursday I was able to wake up at a fairly reasonable time (7:00) to leave for tour. Mrs. Strothers came and picked me up, and we had to take Carrie to Wellstar so that they could tell her that she did not have TB. Lol. After that we made it to Mt. Zion around 8:45ish and left around 9:30ish. The whole seating arrangement really pissed me off. The seniors had the van to themselves and all of the "underclassmen" had to sit on the bus. But somehow, Alan got to ride in the van with the seniors, and he's a junior. The seniors were like, "Oh, well, Alan's part of the board so he get's to sit on the van with us." Do you really think that they did any planning at all? No. So Becca and I sat together on the bus with all of the younger kids. So we weren't even like two hours into our trip when the bus kinda broke. Lol. We stopped at a Wendy's and Mr. B., one of the chaporones, said that the bus's power steering and power brakes were not working. So we had to rearange all of the luggage and stuff and put that on the bus to be towed. Some of us went onto the van and others went into family's cars. We followed the tow truck to where the bus was being fixed, and they said it would take about 2 hours. So, we went to the LaGrange mall. What a great way to kill time. I bought this really pretty lip gloss from B&B Wks and a tank top from I think JC Penny. Yeah it was fun. Then we went back and the bus was fixed. So we made it to Panama City, thank goodness, but we were about 6 hours late (lol). The great thing was was that we didn't have to do a concert that night. It was a great feeling to be back at the Arc. We went to the 10:00 2x2 concert. Their concerts are so much fun. The weather was so nice while we were there. Anywho, on Sunday morning we had a concert at Springfield United Methodist Church. That is really an interesting church. After that we went to Navar and performed for their youth. That was fun. We played that game with the peanut butter and nursery rymes. That was fun. I forgot the words to Row Row Row Your Boat...? Lol. After that we went back to the Arc, and Carrie gave Reid a haircut. That was amazing. We have pictures :). We left the Arc on Monday morning, and it acutally started to rain as we left. We went to this retirement facility somewhere in Central Florida. Lol. We were able to stay in this really nice cottage for a night. We watched Family Guy in the living room area after our concert. It was so funny because this guy walked out in this air-tight jumpsuit type thing and someone in the cartoon said, "Oh no! It's the government! Run E.T.!" And then we saw this brown alien run across the screen. It was hilarious. I guess you just had to be there. On Tuesday, we went to Ocalla. We stayed at this really gross hotel. Not so awesome. That night we had a concert at a very small church and that's when we met up with the Darsies. On Wednesday we went to a waterpark in the morning, which was fun. Carrie got stuck on one of the slides. Haha. That day we went to Gainesville, and performed that evening. Then we got to stay at some of the member's homes for the night. I was put in a house with Jessica, one of the twins. The owners of the house apparently loved birds and coo coo clocks. Lol. But Jessica and I were awoken in our sleep by an alarm clock that went off in our room. It was the sound of a choo choo train. It was sooo LOUD! It seriously gave us both a heart attack. Lol. On Friday we left for New Smyrna Beach. We were going to perform outside of The Islander Hotel, but it was raining. So we performed inside instead. After that we went out to dinner. We decided to go back to our hotel (the Holiday Inn) and put on our bathing suits. We then went back to The Islander and went to their pool because it was bigger. I just realized that I have some of the days mixed up because we did have one day that was a free day. Oh well. On Saturday we left New Smyrna Beach and went to Ocilla, Georgia. I love that church. We also stayed with members of the church that night. And I got to be in a house with Carrie! Which was amazing. It was lots of fun. After our concert on Sunday morning, we packed up and headed back home. We got home around 5:00ish and set up sound and such. Homecoming was awesome. Katie and Dustin came. I was surprised to see Dustin there. Lol. But yeah it was all good. Carrie and I sang a duet. We sang For Good from Wicked. We actually cried. Carrie was like, I wasn't planning on crying. But she did. And so did I. I was so happy to sleep in my own bed last night. :)
This morning I took my mom for radiation. And now she's telling me that I have to get off and go to the Chandlery to buy some Vera Bradley stuff for one of my friends that lives in Michigan that is graduationg. Toodles
