Kung Fu
Repeated the two Chen Taiji sword forms I am learning -- straightsword and broadsword. Also went through Chen Long form and Chen Cannon Fist empty hand forms. It's been a long time since we last went through Cannon Fist; wow, it was messy this time.

Writing

+500 words on a short story I left hanging a while ago. I think I'll probably have to cut all of what I added -- a too-long conversation between two characters -- but at least it got me thinking about the right direction.

Kung Fu
Managed to hit all 4 classes (four hours) last night.

We finally got to the "Repulse the Monkey" in Wu Style. And boy, that's a hard move. Anything's possible with practice, but I'm still falling over when I do brush knee going forward. Doing the same move BACKWARD just makes me feel like a klutz.

It's like somebody took Yang Style and said, "How could we make this even more difficult?"

Sunday: Christy, one of my friends from Amtgard, came to my Taiji school and loved it. Me, Janelly, and Kendra practiced with her after class, too. They all did very well.

Janelly says she might start up Taiji again. That would be really cool.

Saturday, my school did a Taiji demo at the local alternative health expo. I gave out a lot of flyers, and even sold one of my teacher's dvds :) We performed Basic Fan and 32 Yang Sword. We did Xin Jia(1) Chen Shr Taiji(2) YiLu(3) for the first time in 6 months months, and went through the first few moves with tons of detail. I learned a lot of stuff that I NEVER KNEW.

No wonder my Chen form sucked.(4)
