I've been following my standard plan of trying to do a little bit of everything every day. Doesn't always work, but I do manage to rotate through everything every week at least once.
* I have two Amtgard [LARP/Swordfighting] park days: Wednesday and Saturday. If I ever want to be a Warlord (qualified for knighthood for combat prowess -- 4 major kingdom-level tourney wins or 21 kills in a row in a major kingdom level tournament with other Warlords present) then I should really get it to where I am at least drilling 3-5 days a week, but that is likely a pipe dream. * I write every day, if I can -- usually 3-5 days per week. * I hang out with my family every day, as I can. * I do different exercises every day, sometimes just walking around the building, sometimes going to the gym and biking/running/weights. * And I'm eating better.
The only thing I haven't been able to fit in is Kung Fu. Since I don't have the money for it, and since my knee still hurts a lot when I do lunges/leaps/deep knee bends (all part of Kung Fu), it isn't as high on my priority list as it should be.
The pain is because of the surgery. My inner quad wasted away quite dramatically and my outer quad/IT band overcompensated. That pulls my kneecap slightly out of joint. There may also be a little scar tissue inside the knee, not sure. But I have hope that if I keep working on it it'll stop hurting.
It doesn't hurt (much) WHEN I jump/lunge anymore. It aches the next day (quite dramatically, and inside). So... maybe one day.
