Good Nebula Nomination News: 1 or 2 more votes and we've got a shot!
Good News!
If I'm counting right -- and the votes I've been promised materialize -- then with 1 or 2 more votes before Christmas, "Teddy Bears and Tea Parties" will have a STRONG shot at making the Nebula Final Ballot.
I am excited to get 1 vote, much less actually have a shot at the nomination.
Thanks everyone! You're all great! :) Really, if the story makes it to the final ballot, it's not me that got it there. It's all of you. :)
But now I'm right up against the edge of my known world. Here there be dragons. By that I mean, I am so new to writing that I am at the edge of my network. It's hard enough to get votes when you know people; those last few votes are going to be tough.
In other words -- I REALLY need help.
Right now, all I can do is try to get "Teddy Bears and Tea Parties" in front of more eyes and meet more folks because only SFWA active and associate members can nominate. Any sort of advice/signal boost/networking, whatever, will really help out. It's just SOOOOOOOO close! How can I not give it my all? :)
