Kung Fu
Repeated the two Chen Taiji sword forms I am learning -- straightsword and broadsword. Also went through Chen Long form and Chen Cannon Fist empty hand forms. It's been a long time since we last went through Cannon Fist; wow, it was messy this time.
Guitar
Didn't feel particularly studious, so I just played around with a few tunes I've been trying to write. Since I still don't know much about the Guitar -- or music -- they're pretty simple. But I like them and they're fun :)
Writing
Seems what I need to motivate me is a hard deadline and a really good chance at getting feedback. I worked 8 hrs straight and managed to crank out the following:
+2,000 words of from scratch rewriting
+8,000 words of in-depth edits of existing material, making it all mesh up or tearing things apart.
All of which leads to... DUMDUMDUM!... No, not "certain death"... to me having connected up to the main body of my story again. It's not all a bed of roses -- Chapter 5 (about 2,000 words of the edits) is probably absolute crap -- a rusty and rather transparent little lynchpin holding the good parts together -- but it can be reworked later.
This is big news for me, because with a little bit of massaging the first HALF of the book should fall together in one big piece.
...Of course, that leaves the other half... but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it.

I am beginning to wonder if my estimate of 120K words was a little low. The first, sketchy/bare-bones draft was 110K...
