We finished Wu-Family Taiji long form last night. Still a long way to go to make it look like real Taiji, but still! Now I know four of the five major Taiji families' long forms!
Also, I left Jia four amtgard swords Monday, and last night we practiced some applications of Xingyi Jian (Xingyi straight sword) with them. One is an interesting move I've never seen in Amtgard, but it will take a lot of drills to be able to use it.
In Bagua, Jia took me aside and together we tried to remember the Bagua two-person fighting form. We're both out of practice, but it's coming back. I also realized today that the fighting form and the "Shou Fa" (hand skills) are the same thing, just the form has them all linked together in one continuous flow. Wow. How did I miss that?
