The new school is nearing completion. We are also training for a Demo for the World Health Festival (??) on the 20th. Nothing serious. We'll do Fan and 32 Sword.
Last night, we had our first new-schedule class (5-8). This is a big change, because the Karate school that owned our last space usually claimed prime-time hours (6-8), so we had classes at 5-6 and 8-9. Because of the extra time, we had a new joy: We got to do almost a solid hour of Xingyi strikes on pads. Now THAT was fun. (But my Earth technique needs work.)
Jia left at 7:30, and we kept going 'til 9.
I taught Gonzalo about 1/3 of Bagua Jian, and we also went through the Liang-family Bagua 10 Stance Skills, and I ran him through a refresher on the 6 different methods of stepping in Bagua.
David and I worked together and remembered as much of Wudang Jian as we have been taught.
It's really fun to have several hours to practice stuff you haven't touched in a while, in a social setting.
