Rogund, book 2 and book 1 updates
I know noone was wondering (except for Kendra) but I've started book 2 of the Rogund series. Right now all the writing is tucked away in a bad format, so no word counts yet. I started two three days ago, on Aug 6. I'll get them up soon; they keep me honest.
Also, I got the line edits back from Betty. I had an average of 1 typo per 4 pages. I am a technical writer; this shames me. I tried spotting themself, to test myself, but I let about 1/3rd through. She is an amazing line editor.
Bad news, though: She didn't like the book. Not her cup of tea; she prefers political thrillers and suspense. Hrm. She did not say anything else, but my instincts are telling me that the beginning of the novel may be too bleak, and may make the book inaccessible. I will ponder.
I sent it out to a buddy of mine that actually reads SFF (prefers SF, though). We'll see if he likes it or not.
