OMGosh, I am ROFL!!!!!

So Darling Daughter (soon to be 17 year old) is visiting Nana in Oregon this week.  Her car has been filthy - it's a midsize suv we use to take the boat to the lake and we haven't washed it in a long time.  Daughter hasn't gotten around to doing it, but keeps talking about it.  Well, while she was away Daddy decides to do it for her, by hand.  Today Hunky Boyfriend calls and asks if he can come over and wash DD's car while she's gone.  Husband is GLOATING!  Beat ya to it, sucker!  he's thinking.  Feeling pretty proud of himself that he won this round.  So smug.  I tell ya, this pseudo-competition for her affection (mainly on Dad's side) is a HOOT!  Daddy wants so badly to be number one man in her life.  Makes me laugh and shake my head.  I don't think I ever had two guys fighting over me...course one's her dad, but still...

NEW STORY IDEA that is SO ORIGINAL I think I could die, is bouncing around in my head.   Oh, it's gooood. *Does Flashdance of happiness*

What do you guys do when you already have projects going and new-to-die-for ideas pop up in your head?

writing process, family, darling daughter
