(Holy necroblogomancy, Batman!)
So, my brother made me aware of a 25th anniversary showing of
WarGames last night. We went, because WarGames is awesome. I was actually pleasantly surprised - I remembered it being pretty hokey (but awesome); upon another viewing, I have to say that it's really only slightly hokey, and more than enjoyable enough to make up for it. It was cool to see it on the big screen. The entire audience chuckled at certain bits of the old computer equipment - every time David pulled out an 8.5" floppy, for example.
The roughly 45-minute-long "WarGames: 25 years later" bit beforehand was a pretty dull set of interviews with the cast and director. Also, the fact that there's a
sequel coming out (next week, apparently), and the overwhelming amount of terrible that will inevitably make up said sequel, was thrown into sharp relief by the trailer.
