So! This is the Smash Academy I've heard so much about! I guess this place has everything I could possibly use for my scientific research!

I guess then I better get started! It looks like there's just so much to observe and take notes on!

In fact, there is one thing I have noticed already!

Smash Academy is a place filled with many kinds of ( Read more... )

Those foreign animals... they're called Pokemon. They're sentient beings that are adept at fighting one another, usually under the guise of trainers who ensure their development.

The way you make it sound, it's almost like as if it were some form of dog fighting.

Which I hope isn't the case.

There's a Chinese proverb that goes "Behind every able man, there are always other able men." It's not just dogfighting because the trainer and Pokemon need to have a bond, a connection - for a Pokemon is not just a tool to fight with. The best trainers have deep emotional connections with their Pokemon teams - all of them. They work together in harmony, usually.

Chinese proverbs, huh? Interesting! Taking moral lessons and putting it to everyday use!

[She is writing down that proverb later, you better believe it. For later use.]

So what you're saying is that these...Pokemon and their trainers work together to reach their goals in an friendly fashion? Like a team? Friends even?

[Hopefully Ema's better at using them than Otacon.]

Oh yes. There are a lot of trainers that go to the school and you can ask them yourself. I'm not one of them... yet but it's easy enough to find someone who does. They can tell you a lot more than I can.

The esteemed Pokemon Professor, Professor Oak is also here so if you're really interested in the subject, you should do your best to catch him.

A professor? There's a whole science involved then?

So it's settled! This is something worth researching more of!
