What isn't bad about Oak. The man could have been a Champion like you! We went on a journey of discovery together and he was tall and handsome to become the Champions, but you know what he did? He ended up wanting to study Pokemon! Bah! Leaving me along to complete the journey,...Ever since then his fighting spirit declined until it was a former mockery of his old self.

I don't want you to turn out like him.

What's so bad about studying Pokemon...? Maybe he's one of the best Trainers ever and he doesn't tell anyone because he doesn't like it when people interrupt his studies.

Let me tell you a story sonny. It's the story of how Oak ended up leaving his dream to be a Champion and how he took up that other dumb dream of his to be a Pokemon Professor. [She goes on for a few minutes]
