The Missing Don

Hmph. Humans everywhere. It's worse than I thought.

Their leader is here though... Good. Two birds with one stone.

There's Pokemon everywhere too, you know! Don't let their human looks fool you.

What are you babbling about?

Most of the Pokemon here don't like to stay Pokemon, so they turn into humans so they can talk to us and wear clothes and stuff like that. I bet you could try it too, if you wanted.

Why would I ever want to do something like that...?!

Uh... [shrug!]

Trying something new? If I were allowed to turn into a Pokemon whenever I felt like it, I think I'd wanna try it out. Unless I turned into a bat.

Hmph. To debase myself in such a manner... Unthinkable that Pokemon should want to be human.

An interesting aspiration. But I've seen what your kind does when they want to harness the power of Pokemon for their own use.

Oh, that's right! If I were a Pokemon, then I guess somebody might try to catch me. Then my Pokemon would have a trainer who's a Pokemon for some trainer! ...It kinda makes my head hurt just thinking about it. At least the battles'd be interesting.

I'm guessing you like being wild better, then?

...Right. [You might have made his head hurt at that. Just a little.]

You might say that I prefer not being held to the whims of another.

Fair enough. I know I always used to hate it when Mom wouldn't let me go outside until I'd cleaned my room.

What about regular battles? Do you like those? Or are you more of a Pokeathlon fan?

Being owned by another is very different from obeying parental authority.

I've been bred to be the most powerful Pokemon in the world. Finding a suitable challenge has been difficult.

I guess a trainer's more like a big sister than a mom, but I don't think they're all that different.

You definitely came to the right place if it's a challenge you want, though. The trainers here are all big names like gym leaders and stuff, and some of the Pokemon here are even supposed to be legendary ones!

Hmph. I highly doubt that. But perhaps. Maybe my trip won't be a total waste.

You know... I don't wanna brag or anything, but my team's not that shabby, either. If you're looking for a warm-up...

I don't think you're as ready as you think you are to face me.

Don't underestimate me, big lilac Pokemon! I'm a lot tougher than I look!

What did you call me? If that's what you think... I will accept your challenge.
