Hey Smash Academy! You may happen to notice a young, blonde headed boy traipsing around outside. For a child though, he seems fairly well armed: a sword, bow, boomerang, hammer and all kinds of other neat things

What it makes perfect sense, how else are you supposed to get money? And magic.
"Oh, hi there!"
Link ceased his mowing of the lawn. And stared at this thing. It didn't even have a mouth, how is it talking. Can everyone here see into his mind. It seemed fairly cute and harmless though. But somewhat worried, maybe it wants something.
"Can I help you?"
I hope it doesn't want something, that rupee is going to vanish hnnnng
No, sense it does not make. EVER. Dee would rather collect fallen stars on the ground instead.
"Uh, I just wanted to know, like, what are you doing? I mean, it looks weird. I mean, not in a bad way, just... I dunno why you're doing that. I guess."
Because that just makes all the sense. Stars on the ground? That seems rather dangerous. But uh, no one has ever really asked this before.
"Oh, sometimes I find neat things in tall grass or bushes, but they're hard to find without cutting the plants away. Also it's just a fun way to keep in practice! With my sword."
It is okay, they are small words, so it is all good. And Link isn't always the best either, whoops.
Dee was kind of interested by that. Did he need a sword to do this, though? If so, that was just the lamest ever. Forever. He wanted to find things in bushes, too.
"Can I try it?" If Kirby can do it, maybe he can, too. "I wanna see if I can find little stars on the ground. I like them. Dream Land has a lot of them."
Oh no, I guess he hasn't used a sword before. Link went and knelt next to him to make sure he was okay, and thankfully, he is!
"Hey, are you okay? It is kinda hard to balance with a sword right at first; they're heavy. But you did good! You cut straight through the bush!"
He felt bad for the little guy though, and managed to sneak a yellow rupee out of his wallet and onto the ground. It wasn't exactly a star, but it was yellow and shiny. Maybe he'd like it.
Dee wasn't sure what to think about a boy cutting random bushes with a blade like that. Why was he doing that. That made no sense.
"Uh... hi."

Dee was never very good with words.

"Sure! I don't know if you'll find any stars, but it's worth a shot."
Link held out his sword for him.
"Just remember to be careful, especially if you haven't used a sword before."

Dee attempted to smack the sword at a bush directly in front of him, and lo and behold, he cut it!
... However, he also fell down in the process. Thankfully, not a single injury came from the sword, but still. OW.

Dee found a thing. A YELLOW SHIN THING. It is yellow and shiny, so maybe it is good. Yes, it was probably good. He can trust this.
He squeaked and pulled himself right off of the ground to get it. He examined it cheerfully. It was a gem! Oh, he loved gems.
"You mean... I can find ones like this just from cutting bushes? Are there different colors?" SO EXCITED. He loved to collect gems.
