Grampa took me to the bullet train in Saffron. Amazing where you can get with modern transportation, even as a Pokemon.

How is it being back in school? Have you beat Red yet?

It's fine, I guess. I think one of my roommates, the other RA, is completely insane though. And Red's dumb Pokemon just showed up the other day so we haven't battled or anything yet. It's probably gonna happen soon though, 'cause just the knowledge that they're here is driving me kind of crazy.

They've been here for more than an hour, get a battle going already. Just like the traveling days. Eyes meeting from afar meant you must battle!

But, I guess school is different. Especially as an RA. Trying to set an example, are you?

Yeah, yeah. Sometimes I wish I could just go back to the old days but even exploring Sinnoh wasn't the same as that first journey.

And yup, setting an example is what's gonna get me paid. Speaking of money, is the Gym doing ok? You guys get the hang of the extra tiles and everything?

They were rather dizzying at first, but one gets accustomed to it. You really should've just put in a back door. It would save us a lot of trouble.

But no, everything is fine. I am glad you are well set here. I was afraid I may show up to find you in need of help, but I should've known better.

You know me, Rhys. I can handle it.

But, you know, that doesn't mean you have to rush back to Kanto or anything anytime soon. Planning on sticking around for a while, right?
