A red haired boy approached the gate of the academy, weary from having to travel all the way from Jhoto, and then having to locate the academy itself.
"Hmph, this place is too crowded..." he muttered, he was not at all pleased to be around more people in a day then he would have seen for months out in the wilderness and small towns of the region

"Stop right there! Excuse me! I don't mean to be rude or anything, mister, but it's pretty suspicious to be hanging out at the gate like that. You're not up to anything fishy, are you? Oh! Or maybe you're just visiting? Because I know you're not a student, because then I would know who you are, and I don't know who you are. I shouldn't even be talking to you because you're a total stranger, but it's a hall monitor's job to look our for shady characters and sometimes being one of the good guys means you have to take a couple of risks. I guess it isn't risky if you aren't a bad guy, though, and if you are visiting, then you're probably not bad, because there are no bad guys in the school. You are visiting, right?"

The chatter, unfortunately, didn't. "In that case, you're definitely a good guy too! Welcome to Smash Acadmy, mister! My name is Casca and I'm a hall monitor. That means it's my job to make sure everyone's being good and playing by the rules. It also means I should try really hard to be as useful as I can, and since you're new here that means it's a good chance to be really useful! I know lots and lots about the school, y'know, even if I'm not big enough to be a student yet! I can answer any questions you've got, or give you a map, or let you borrow my copy of the rulebook -- it's got lots of big words, though, so it might be kinda hard to read. Or if you need something else, I can help you with it too! What's your name, mister? Whatcha need?"
