Who: Ibis, anyone who wants to take Art.
What: Your new Art teacher! Like, oh my god!
Where: Art room.
When: Today.
Warnings: None (yet).

One might notice upon entering the art room that there were no desks. Only stools and canvases. The stools were set up in a circle around the room and the canvases lined up against the wall. It would seem they weren't going to be used today.

In the center of the circle stood a chalkboard with the words: "Art Class; 2pm, Thursdays; Ms. Ibis Rivera" scrawled in light green chalk. Next to the chalkboard was a teacher's desk, upon which sat a tall, lanky, young 20-something woman filing her nails. As students entered, she'd occasionally utter a greeting without looking up from her nail filing, her valley girl accent blatantly obvious and notably unusual for a teacher: "Welcome, kids. Take a seat somewhere, anywhere. We'll, like, get started soon and stuff."

When things started to settle down and it appeared that all attending students were present, she put her nail file away and brushed some hair out of her eyes vainly.

"All right, class. My name is Ms. Rivera, your new Art teacher, but you can call me Ibis. I'm, like, super happy to be here and to be teaching this awesome topic, but I, like, expect you all to take the class and your own artistic improvements seriously, or something.

"So, since today is, like, the first class and stuff, we're just going to do a basic overview of what you're expected to accomplish and get you started on a totally easy homework assignment. While good art is very subjective, you won't be graded on style but on improvement and apparent effort. So, like, don't think you can get away with stick figures all year and stuff. That's uncool. At the same time, I want you to enjoy the class, so don't be afraid to use your own style. It doesn't have to look like anything professional or popular or some junk. Your artwork should reflect YOU, not what you think art should look like."

Ibis walked over to the nearest student and handed them a stack of syllabuses.

"Pass those around, hon. For your homework assignment, I want you to obtain the listed art materials. Additionally, I want you to write me a short paragraph of what you think cool art is along with your favorite style of art. I'm talking, like, comic books, landscape painting, abstract art, cavemen drawings, whatever.

"Now, go ahead and read over the syllabus to yourself and let me know if you have any questions or something."

ibis, test log, art class, character test, luna what are you doing
