[New Music Wednesday] FEST VAINQUEUR

I don't know what it is lately, but all the new bands I've become fascinated with seem to be so new that there is little (or no) information about them.

Enter FEST VAINQUEUR.

I found them by fluke, really, since I was just looking at a list of bands with new albums coming out from the last issue of Shoxx. These guys had an interesting look, so I thought I'd check them out on my old friend, YouTube. Holy mother of all visual kei, do I LOVE the guitar and bass sounds from this band!!

The guitar here reminds me a little of the intro from Alice Nine's "Le Grand Bleu."

Honestly, these guys have crazy, mad talent for a band that just seems to have gotten off the ground in 2010. The little I've been able to find out says that they started out as a band called SINCREA in 2005. As such, they toured with Golden Bomber, so they are definitely not new to the music business. It sounds like they had a bit of an on-again, off-again start before going on hiatus in 2010, only to be reborn as FEST VAINQUEUR. Perhaps they used their days as SINCREA to find their style? I'm gonna be watching this band very closely.
