Christmas Eve sure was exciting. I worked from 8-2, and that was crazy!! There were soo many last minute shoppers there, and the MaxxMoney system was down, and that's how we activate all of the gift cards. We had to call in every single card. It took sooo long.
Then, as I'm sure everyone knows already, it snowed! It was marvelous. It snowed the whole way home from church and at the lights and stuff we would open the side doors to look at it. It was really neat.
My mom's side of the family came over for dinner. What a messed up group of people. No one can stand my aunt (by marriage), but we still allow them to come over because of the love we have for my uncle. I bet he didn't know what he was getting himself into when he married that woman. I'll have to write more about her later, because there is more to talk about that happened last night.
We all sat to dinner and halfway through it smells like something is burning. My cousin went to see what the smell was. Sure enough, the bathroom is on fire. The candle was burning and a towel was too close, so it caught on fire. First instinct..pour water on it. Bad idea. It was a fragrance candle, and so that made the fire even worse. The fire spread to the lampshade and that went up in flames. My uncle took an empty candleholder and put it over the fire starting candle, which helped a lot. We poured flour on everything to put out the fire. The marble caught on fire, and so it doesn't look so great right now, and the walls have to be repainted from all of the smoke, but everyone was safe, and no other part of the house was damaged. Thank goodness!
Well, I'm going to watch Legally Blonde 2 and take a nap. Bye!!!
